Project Manager R&D
We are looking for a Project Manager R&D to strengthen our research and development team. As a Project Manager, you are responsible for projects in developing novel polymers and processes from innovative idea until transfer to manufacturing. You will have a substantive intellectual role by (but not limited to) exploring different chemistries, evaluating experiments and upscaling of lab syntheses to manufacturing processes. Some hands-on activities in the lab are included to make projects a success. Apart from the technical tasks, you will have managerial responsibilities and lead the project teams. By supervising the multidisciplinary project team you coordinate efficient collaboration within the team, between internal departments and external parties. You are the primary liaison person with the customer for all project related matters. Moreover, you are responsible for dossier building. You will report to the Manager R&D.

We work in a modern and quality driven environment, laid out according to ISO 13485 and GMP (ICH Q7). Our R&D facilities and clean rooms are well equipped for all kinds of chemistries up to about 100L and soon 300L scale.
You will work in a team of professionals and in close collaboration with colleagues from the manufacturing, analytical and quality assurance department. We report in English and communicate in both Dutch and English.

You are an enthusiastic leader, a source of inspiration for your project team and you embrace teamwork and collaboration. You are self-critical and open to receive and provide transparent feedback in a respectful way. You have strong communication skills (verbally and in writing) and are proficient in English.
You should have a PhD degree in organic/polymer chemistry, chemical engineering or equivalents and relevant experience in industry (life sciences or chemistry). Experience with polymers and familiarity with GxP quality systems will largely strengthen your application.
